Visit the website https://www.syndicatebank.in/english/Applicationform.aspx and click on the tab ‘apply online’ and then choose the sub-menu ‘Savings Bank Account’. You will be taken to the online savings bank account opening page. On clicking on the tab ‘continue’, you will be taken to a new page, which asks for your mobile number, email id and date of birth. After you feed in these details, you can fill in the account opening application form.
Take a print of it, and send it along with cheque or draft to any of the branches of syndicate bank where you wish to open the account. Else, you can also remit directly to our correspondent bank account. Apart from mentioning the type of account and other relevant particulars, you will also have to enclose passport size photographs, ID and address proof, and other attested certificates that are mentioned in the form. The best option is to personally visit the bank with all the form and documents, and submit them to the help desk executives there. Else, you can also courier them to the branch. On successful verification of your documents, the bank will activate your account, and notify you of the same.
To close Syndicate Bank Account
Syndicate Bank does not have the option of closing the account online. For closing your account, you will have to personally visit your branch and follow the traditional procedure of account closure.
Visit the Syndicate Bank branch where you hold an account. Speak to the help desk executives about account closure. Fill in the account closure form with requisite details, and you have the option to choose the mode of balance amount you wish to receive, whether in cash, demand draft or cheque. You will also have to surrender your passbook, cheque book, and ATM debit card which you received at the time of opening the account.
