IDFC Bank was inaugurated on October 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The bank initially had a total of 23 branches but has now reached the strength of 100 branches. As with every other bank, it is mandatory for account holders in IDFC Bank to get their Aadhar numbers linked to their accounts. Failure to comply with this rule would result in the account being frozen. IDFC Bank is offering both online and offline services for Aadhar linking to accounts.
